"Classic' a book which people praise and don't read"
-- Mark Twain --

Poster Art Quote ~ Mark Twain

About: This is what happens when Mulluane gets bored while feeling creative! This is going to be a weekly feature here on the old blog. Until I get bored with this too that is. {grins} The quote of course is Mark Twain's but the design is all mine. Sorry about the slow load but it is an high resolution image

It isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but its mine and I like it! Hopefully you will too.

  1. Delightful quote, great image! You should be proud of it!
    And I like the idea of a weekly feature with book-related quotes: yes, I know you "pin" a few on those post-it-like images, but this is *much* better :-)
    So, to celebrate your new feature, here's one of my favorite quotes from GRR Martin: IMHO it expresses perfectly what I feel about books.

    "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one."

    I look forward to see what you will make of it... **cheering**

    1. Consider it done!

      I'll still do post-its. They are quick, clean and colorful. And you would not believe how many times some of them have been repinned.

      I'm about 1/2 afraid the high resolution of these is going to put people off but I'll wait and see. I can always drop the file size if I have to.

      And thanks!

  2. The high resolution wasn't much trouble for me, and I'm on DSL. Yes, that's faster than dial-up, but that's the best you can say for it. {smile}

    I like the quote, too. So many classics seem to be ones more folks like to talk about than actually read. {Smile}

    1. I'd kill for DSL. Maybe someday.

      I have actually read most of the classics. Well the Reader's Digest condensed versions anyway. Can't say I remember much detail. I do remember that I devoured those books like I was starving for words :>)
