Weekly Quote #10 ~ Christopher Paolini

“It's amazing that a man who is dead can talk to people through these pages.

As long as this book survives, his ideas live.”

-- Christopher Paolini, Eragon --

Quote by Christopher Paolini ~ Design by Mulluane

About: This is a weekly feature here in the old belfry. The quote is Christopher Paolini's. The design, along with any flaws, is mine.

If you would like to suggest a quote (I prefer it be from a SFF author) let me know in the comments and I'll see what I can do. No promises though. If a quote is too big I may not be able to reproduce it in the space available. I do promise to try though!

  1. I like that idea a lot. I like the way you fixed it up, too. {SMILE}

    1. Me too. Think of all the authors that are now essentially immortal :>)

      Not my worst attempt at design but maybe a bit too bright in the center. That may depend on the monitor used though.

    2. It looks fine to me on Dad's monitor. At the moment, that's the only one I can check. My computer failed just badly enough, I'm going to replace it. It will take The Computer Store more-or-less a week to build me a new one. Then I can find out what it looks like on my own monitor. {Smile}

    3. Sweet! I love new toys!

      I just got my new DSL modem. And can't set it up until Monday. Going to be a long weekend sitting here staring at it but I'm ecstatic.

    4. Yeah. I'm a little frustrated; I was hoping to get a couple more years out of this computer. However, I'm looking forward to getting a new computer, so it should all work out. {Smile}

  2. Great quote, and very true!
    The design is very pleasant - not too bright at all, by the way - and I love the "mosaic" you're building on your sidebar with these quotes: food for thought and for the eyes, as well! :-)

    1. I ran across the code to do the sidebar somewhere and tried it out. And liked it. Everything these days is visual based which is why I haven't killed the second sidebar. That one is all visual too.

      I did delete some of my "follow me on widgets", like networked blogs, because they were creating unsecure script warnings in my template. LOL, didn't help. I may have to redo the whole design and start adding widgets back in one by one until I discover what code is messing everything up.
